Google Android 4.0:Ice Cream Sandwich

The Android 4.0:Ice Cream Sandwich is the latest OS offered by Google android with all new features and much more improved UI,for all the android fans out their. It comes with many more attractive apps and features out-dating its ancestors.

The latest features which are in offer by the Android OS are:

Home Screen folders and favourites tray

The new home screen folder enables you to group apps and shortcuts in a more logical way, just by dragging it over another. The AllApps launcher helps you to gather information about an app, uninstall it or disable it by just dragging it.

Resizable widgets

The home screen of Android 4.0 is designed to be content rich and customizable for the user.It offers much more than just adding shortcuts-live application content can also be embedded into it through interactive widgets directly. The widgets being resizable,it can be expanded or shrinked accordingly to your choice.

Swipe to dismiss notifications,tabs

The newest part is that you just have to swipe through an application to close it down, which will greatly save the battery life of your phone.

Media-ish

There were certain small entries in the latest Andriod 4.0 which is quite impressive-such as the Tron-like blue theme that is visible throughout the OS and also the feature of unlocking the phone by just face recognition.Though there are still some issues on the working of the face recognition system.

A small but nice touch included in the OS is the notifications bar includes larger information slot-if someone is sending a message or missed call, the contact photo will also appear as well.Good going.

Sometimes to get rid of unwanted notifications but not the others, you can just swipe away those making it easy to maintain the info bar.

The other new addition is the dock at the bottom of the screen which stays on every home-screen and just like the iOS can be changed by application of your own choice.

Overall,we love the new Android 4.0,although its nothing mind blowing but the some new features and the looks has obviously spiced it up and from my point can proof to be a tough competitor of iOS.
